Last But Not Least...

Oscar buzz has finally died down. Just over a week ago, it dominated media outlets and people couldn’t get enough of the fashion, the nominees and the upsets.

Meryl Streep upset Viola Davis, winning the coveted award for Best Actress and stars like Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids), Emma Stone (The Help) and Berenice Bejo (The Artist) managed to upset viewers with their dress choices.

I know everyone needed a few days to recover from the Oscar overload so I gave you some time to ingest the masses’ opinions, but award season wouldn’t be complete if no one weighed in on the missed accessory opportunities. The cliché says “less is more,” but for some of our beloved actresses and nominees, a little more would have gone a long way.

Emma stone could have spared some of that bow(and red!) to better accessorize this ensemble. I suggest the Oxidized Silver Necklace with Bear Quartz. The amber hue would compliment the red and bring out the vibrant blue color in her eyes.

Bérénice Bejo was among the celebrities who underwhelmed last week. Her dress failed to accentuate any features and created a wide maternal look, much different from the Peppy style she rocked in The Artist. A simple pavé diamond necklace or even a simple bracelet or bangle could have lit this one up more.

PANDORA was actually on-site for the festivities leading up to the awards show. Like many companies and product lines, PANDORA, in collaboration with TMG International, hosted a gifting suite to the stars during Oscar weekend.
A gifting suite is a simple concept. Companies pay for hotel rooms during major celebrity events, i.e. award shows and celebrity charity events and literally give away the products in exchange for photographs of the visiting celebrities holding, wearing or using the products received. These unofficial endorsements aim to generate brand buzz and hopefully link it to the stars. We love our stars and we love to love what our stars love. The idea is truly brilliant.
At the TMG Pandora Jewelry Red Carpet Ready Suite, stars received complimentary facials, hair care, make-up and manicures, in addition to the fabulously personalized jewelry they built at the bracelet bar. I wish Ms. Stone and Ms. Bejo could have made a cameo; It would have made a world of difference!
